Before you begin:
- Make sure your security system is Disarmed
- Gather the necessary tools. You'll need a new 123 Battery
Changing the batteries:
Locate the small notches or tabs on the bottom of the sensor. These are usually located on either side.
Press in on the notches or tabs simultaneously. This will release the cover of the sensor.
Carefully remove the cover.
Locate the battery compartment. It's usually located inside the cover, towards the bottom.
Remove the old battery.
Insert the new battery, making sure the positive and negative terminals are aligned correctly. The positive terminal is usually marked with a "+" symbol.
Replace the cover and snap it into place. You should hear a click when it's properly seated.
Here are some additional tips:
- Use high-quality batteries. This will help ensure that your sensor lasts for as long as possible.
- Don't mix old and new batteries. This can damage the sensor.
- Keep track of when you change the batteries. Most Power G glass break sensors have a low-battery indicator that will let you know when it's time to change the batteries. However, it's a good idea to keep track of when you changed the batteries so you can be proactive about replacing them.
