Before you Begin:
Make sure your system is Disarmed
Battery type needed is a 123 battery
Changing the batteries:
Locate the tamper screw or tab. This is usually located on the bottom or back of the sensor.
Use the screwdriver to loosen the tamper screw or push in on the tamper tab.
Carefully remove the cover of the sensor.
Locate the battery compartment. It's usually located inside the cover.
Remove the old battery.
Insert the new battery, making sure the positive and negative terminals are aligned correctly.
Replace the cover and tighten the tamper screw or snap the cover back on.
Testing the sensor:
- Once you've changed the batteries, it's important to test the sensor to make sure it's working properly. You can usually do this by walking in front of the sensor and watching for the LED to light up.
Here are some additional tips:
- Use high-quality batteries. This will help ensure that your sensor lasts for as long as possible.
- Don't mix old and new batteries. This can damage the sensor.
- Keep track of when you change the batteries. Most Power G motion sensors have a low-battery indicator that will let you know when it's time to change the batteries. However, it's a good idea to keep track of when you changed the batteries so you can be proactive about replacing them.
