Before you begin:

  • Disarm your system: Ensure your Security system is completely disarmed before proceeding.
  • Type of Battery: The battery you will need is a 12V 7.0AH

Steps:

  1. Locate the control panel: The main control panel for your Concord security system is typically located in the unfinished part of your basement.

  2. Open the panel: The panel may be secured with a screw. Use the appropriate tool to unscrew the panel's cover

  3. Locate the old battery: Once the panel is open, find the old battery. It's usually located at the bottom of the panel.

  4. Disconnect the old battery: Carefully disconnect the wires from the battery terminals. Remember:

    • Black wire: This is the negative (-) terminal. Disconnect it first.
    • Red wire: This is the positive (+) terminal. Disconnect it after the black wire.
  5. Remove the old battery: Take out the old battery from the panel.

  6. Install the new battery: Place the new battery in the compartment, ensuring the positive and negative terminals align correctly with the corresponding wires.

  7. Reconnect the wires: Reconnect the red wire to the positive terminal and the black wire to the negative terminal. Double-check the connections for any loose wires.

  8. Close the panel: Secure the panel's cover and lock it if necessary.

  9. Hit the Asterisk: Once the battery has been replaced. You will need to hit the Asterisk button on the lower left corner of your keypad. This will clear out the low battery memory and stop any potential beeping.
